We are excited to have recently transitioned to Online + In Person gatherings in our church building. Virginia State Guidance allows churches to gather at 50% capacity of your facility (ours is 275). Sunday worship will take place at 9:30am, but will not include Transit Kids or any form of childcare. Those who attend on Sunday will be asked to comply with guidelines provided below. If you are in the high-risk category, or simply not able or ready to start gathering in person, we respect your decision and want to encourage you to keep gathering with us online and possibly in your community group.
SUNDAY WORSHIP GATHERING GUIDELINES:
If you are in a higher-risk category, please stay home and worship with us online. Likewise, If anyone in your family feels sick or is symptomatic in any way, please stay home and worship with us online.
There will be no Transit Kids classes or childcare available during Sunday worship at this time. If you feel comfortable, we would welcome you to bring your children and sit with them during the service. Another option is for spouses to attend every other week while the other spouse watches with the kids online.
As much as possible, please observe social distance guidelines (6ft of space) between family units at all times when inside the building and keep your kids close.
Virginia State Guidance requires persons in public to wear some type of face covering. Disposable masks will be available at the front door if you do not have one or forget to bring one. Please enter and exit, and socialize before and after worship with your mask on. If you sing during worship, please wear your mask. You have the option to take your mask off as you sit during the sermon.
Seating will be available every other row to ensure households are six feet apart. Households (families and roommates) can sit together. Please allow three chairs—the equivalent of six feet between households or persons in each row.
We will not be providing coffee, but you can bring your own.
Our Guest Services Department will place single service communion cups in a basket at the entrance to the auditorium. Communion will not be taken as has been our tradition—by lining up and going to the front—but by partaking in the bread (wafer) and juice and at your seat.
Restrooms will be cleaned and disinfected prior to worship, but not during. For this reason, we would ask you to use the bathroom before you come. For those who need to use the restroom… sanitizer (wipes) will be available on the counter.
We will provide hand sanitizer stations in various places in our building.
We will sanitize highly touched surfaces before and after worship such as doors, handles, tables, water fountains, and the bathrooms.
We will return to our bi-monthly building clean-up schedule, beginning Saturday, June 27th and welcome any and all to come help us steward our worship space, and make sure its super clean for when we gather on Sunday.
