The testimony of the exiled Daniel, both what he endured and what he saw, teaches and encourages believers today to remain faithful to their true, everlasting King while living as exiles in a land far from home. As followers of Jesus, the truth of the matter is that we no longer call this world our home. Jesus is our King and His Kingdom is where our citizenship and allegiance lies. Therefore, one of the great dilemmas of our lives will be how to live faithful to our true King and His Kingdom while living on foreign soil.
