The life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ truly is the greatest story ever told. Jesus came to earth so that we may be saved. He rescued us from the bondage of sin, giving us direct access to forgiveness. But this wasn’t possible without sacrificing his life. Jesus was tortured and mocked, killed by crucifixion. Three days later he defied the grave and rose to life. Without the resurrection, there is no forgiveness. Because of the resurrection, we celebrate and worship the one who came to love and save us.
